
Sylvia has over 15 years of professional training and experience working within the social service field and 8 years of experience as a mental health counselor. She's work with children, at risk youth, juvenile offenders, couples and families from a wide array of cultural backgrounds and ages. She's had experience working in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities as well as substance abuse programs. She prefers to use an integrative approach, drawing from several modalities & creative arts, to meet her client's needs. As it relates to her educational experience, Sylvia completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology at Spelman College, Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health at Mercer University, and her doctoral degree in Human Services and Social Work at Walden University.
Integrated Counseling Center focuses on identifying one's full potential and strengths in order to guide them to a place of healing! This begins the journey to, not only, a balanced and healthy life but also encourages growth and self-discovery! Faith Based Counseling is also offered for those that choose to address challenges experienced from a spiritual or Bible based modality.
