Job Description:
The Masters Level Counseling/Mental Health Practicum or Intern will gain practical work experience in the area of counseling, behavioral health, addictions and social human services. This intern position supports the promotion of individual growth in the clients of Integrated Counseling Center and Consulting Services LLC.
Duties
Here are examples of responsibilities representing typical tasks practicum and interns are likely to perform in their roles.
• Lead and co-lead group therapy sessions via telehealth and in person
• Maintain and file accurate records and manage diverse caseload within a clinical
environment.
• Become familiar with the DSM V-TR to understand the process in completing verified
diagnosis for a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety,
bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as BIRP notes, assessments and treatment plans,
within the electronic medical records system.
• Provide administrative support for the site supervisor and/or clinical supervisor
• Maintain appropriate paperwork, client charts and documentation
• Contact potential referrals and update referral list as needed
• Complete the necessary professional development and trainings designated by ICCCS
• Attends appropriate meetings, trainings, including staff meetings, supervision and other
meetings with clinical staff
• Identifies agency resources for various agency related tasks and projects
• Participate in company related outreach events as applicable

diagnosis for a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety,
bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.
• Learn how to complete necessary paperwork, such as BIRP notes, assessments and
treatment plans, within the electronic medical records system while training under a
fully licensed counselor.
• Provide administrative support for the site supervisor and/or clinical supervisor
• Maintain appropriate paperwork, client charts and documentation
• Observe and/or shadow a counselor providing one on one counseling
• Contact potential referrals and update referral list as needed
• Complete the necessary professional development and trainings designated by ICCCS
• Attends appropriate meetings, trainings, including staff meetings, supervision and other
meetings with clinical staff
• Identifies agency resources for various agency related tasks and projects
• Participate in company related outreach events as applicable
• Assist with youth outreach/enrichment program (if applicable)
